# renovate
|

|
Self-hosted [Renovate](https://docs.renovatebot.com/) runner for the Lotus Guild Gitea instance.
|
|
|
|
A Gitea Actions workflow (`.gitea/workflows/renovate.yml`) runs every Monday at 04:00 (and on demand) and
|
|
checks the repositories listed in `renovate.json` for outdated dependencies. Renovate opens a pull request
|
|
per update; patch updates and dev-dependency updates are squash-auto-merged, everything else waits for review.
|
|
|
|
## Setup
|
|
|
|
1. Create a Gitea access token for a bot/user with write access to the target repositories
|
|
(repository + issue/PR read-write).
|
|
2. Store it as the repository secret `RENOVATE_TOKEN`.
|
|
3. Add repositories to the `repositories` list in `renovate.json`.
|
|
|
|
