renovate

Self-hosted Renovate runner for the Lotus Guild Gitea instance.

A Gitea Actions workflow (.gitea/workflows/renovate.yml) runs every Monday at 04:00 (and on demand) and checks the repositories listed in renovate.json for outdated dependencies. Renovate opens a pull request per update; patch updates and dev-dependency updates are squash-auto-merged, everything else waits for review.

Setup

  1. Create a Gitea access token for a bot/user with write access to the target repositories (repository + issue/PR read-write).
  2. Store it as the repository secret RENOVATE_TOKEN.
  3. Add repositories to the repositories list in renovate.json.
