Right-side thread drawer (MembersDrawer pattern; mobile fullscreen):
- ThreadPanel: header + close/Escape, ThreadTimeline, its own RoomInput
(threadRootId prop; drafts/replies/uploads isolated per roomId::threadId;
schedule + slash-commands off in threads v1) and threaded mark-as-read.
- ThreadTimeline: lean reimplementation over thread.liveTimeline — copied
useTimelinePagination pattern (/relations back-pagination + decryption),
virtualized, root event emphasized + "N replies" divider, reactions/edits/
redactions, and a pending strip (chronological local echo never enters the
thread timelineSet — rendered from LocalEchoUpdated instead).
- ThreadSummary chips on root messages (server-aggregated bundle or live
Thread; unread badge via getThreadUnreadNotificationCount) keep threads
discoverable now that replies leave the main timeline.
- Reply-in-Thread menu + thread indicators open the panel; deep links to
thread events redirect into it.
- State: roomIdToActiveThreadIdAtomFamily + getThreadDraftKey (+18 tests).
Gates: tsc clean, eslint 0 errors, build OK, 616/617 tests (1 IDB skip).
Awaiting live QA; release note: threaded replies no longer render inline.

Session now persists as ONE atomic cinny_session_v1 JSON write (blob-wins read,
transparent migration from the ~10 legacy keys, dual-write kept one release for
rollback). subscribeSessionChanges + useSessionSync reload a tab whose session
was changed/removed by another tab (logout/login/token rotation). OIDC refresher
already routes through setFallbackSession, so rotations stay atomic. Tests 7→22.
Full token-protection redesign remains tracked in LOTUS_BUGS.

Raw-IndexedDB cache (lotus-search-cache: messages keyed [roomId,eventId] +
per-room coverage) merged into local search with in-memory-wins dedupe. OPT-IN
(default off) via a standalone atom — stores decrypted text at rest, so it ships
with a privacy note, a Clear button, and an unconditional wipe on logout
(initMatrix). All IDB errors degrade to cache-miss. +8 tests (1 IDB skip in node).

- fileEntries: a single unreadable file/dir in a dropped folder no longer aborts
the whole traversal (try/catch per entry, skip failures) — was discarding ALL
dropped files (incl. the flat-file path) + an unhandled rejection; also add
.catch in both useFileDrop consumers.
- RoomInput: mirror a localStorage-restored draft into the draft atom so the
P5-57 indicator reflects a persisted draft after a page reload, not only on
same-session room re-entry.
- useTauriThumbbar: swallow toggleMicrophone()/hangup() rejections (parity with
SMTC) — avoids an unhandled rejection when clicked mid-teardown.
- App/DesktopChrome: keep wrapper element types stable across the chrome toggle
(display:contents when off) so flipping it no longer remounts RouterProvider.
- settings: normalizeComposerToolbarOrder also appends missing keys from the
canonical key set (safety net if a new button is absent from the default order).
Gates: tsc/eslint/prettier clean, build OK, 559 tests.

Web half of the desktop feature wave. A shared bridge (`hooks/useTauri.ts`:
invokeTauri/isTauri/useTauriEvent) backs per-feature hooks that no-op in the
browser and drive the native Tauri commands (compiled in cinny-desktop):
- P5-46 useTauriCallPower — hold system awake while a call is active.
- P5-36 useTauriJumpList — Windows jump list of recent rooms → matrix: deep links.
- P5-44 useTauriThumbbar — taskbar Mute/Deafen/End; events toggle mic/sound/hangup.
- P5-43 useTauriSmtc — SMTC call state + button events.
- P5-49 useTauriNetwork — react to native network-change → mx.retryImmediately().
- P5-47 window chrome — opt-in `customWindowChromeAtom` + TDS `TitleBar`; DesktopChrome
wrapper in App.tsx (zero layout impact when off) + a desktop-only settings toggle.
- P5-55 composer toolbar drag-reorder (settings order[] + pragmatic-drag-and-drop).
- P5-57 DraftIndicator — subtle "draft saved" cue in the composer.
Client-scoped hooks mount via TauriDesktopFeatures in ClientNonUIFeatures; window
chrome mounts at App level. Gates: tsc/eslint/prettier clean, build OK, 556 tests.

- Model dropdown is now ordered by quality/CPU, best first (DeepFilterNet 3 →
DTLN → RNNoise → Speex); fix RNNoise's inaccurate "High" voice-quality label.
- When a user opts into the ML tier, default to the highest-quality model
(DeepFilterNet 3). The tier default stays browser-native (known-good, best
perceived in testing so far).
- Wire the "Series Suppression" (native-NS-before-ML) toggle into the real call
path — it was applied only in the settings tester, so the tester could sound
better than the actual call. Default it OFF (a single NS stage is best
practice; it's an opt-in test aid).
- isMLDenoiseSupported now also requires WebAssembly, so ML isn't offered on
strict-CSP shells where it would silently fall back to the raw mic.

Element Call is now consumed as our self-built fork
(@lotusguild/element-call-embedded); wire up its previously-dormant
capabilities and document the fork as live.
Soundboard (P5-15): a call-bar button plays user-uploaded audio clips into the
call as a real published track (io.lotus.inject_audio) plus local playback.
Clips are uploadable like emoji/sticker packs, stored in io.lotus.soundboard
account data (synced across devices). Gated by a Settings toggle + volume.
Quality controls (P5-31): per-user mic/screenshare bitrate + screenshare
framerate (Settings -> Calls), applied via io.lotus.set_quality clamped to any
room cap. Room admins set caps and hard call-permissions (allow_screenshare /
allow_camera) in Room Settings -> Voice; the call bar hides blocked buttons.
- New: CallSoundboard, useSoundboard, soundboardClips; RoomQuality,
useCallQuality, callQuality (+ unit tests).
- Optimistic-write RoomQuality admin UI (no stale-state clobber).
- Docs: mark EC fork live across README/FEATURES/TODO/BUGS/TESTING; add D2
manual-test steps.
Numeric quality caps are client-cooperative; screenshare/camera permissions are
hard-enforced server-side (see LotusGuild/matrix voice-limit-guard).

setFallbackSession gains an optional `extra` arg (password call sites unchanged)
persisting cinny_refresh_token, cinny_expires_at (absolute), and
cinny_oidc_{issuer,client_id,redirect_uri,id_token_claims}. getFallbackSession
reads them back (expiry as remaining lifetime); removeFallbackSession + re-save
clear stale OIDC keys. Session type gains `oidc?: OidcSessionMeta`. +2 tests.

Via subagent, verified against real behavior (all use jotai store + enableMapSet):
- state/list (11): createListAtom PUT/DELETE/REPLACE (single + array, identity).
- state/room/roomToParents (10): INITIALIZE/PUT/DELETE incl. cycle-skip and
orphan-cleanup pruning of zero-parent children.
- state/room/roomToUnread (22): unreadInfoToUnread, unreadEqual, and the
roomToUnreadAtom reducer — leaf/overwrite/equal-guard, multi-level parent
roll-up with `from` recording, RESET rebuild, DELETE subtract/prune.
No bugs (noted a latent never-hit string-spread in deleteUnreadInfo's `from ??
roomId` fallback; left as-is). Suite growing toward full pure-logic coverage.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Via subagent, all verified against real behavior:
- state/sessions (5): fallback-session round-trip across the four cinny_* keys,
missing-key → undefined for each required key, removeFallbackSession clears all.
- state/recentSearches (6): addRecentSearch prepend, case-sensitive dedupe +
move-to-front, trim, ignore empty/whitespace, cap at 10.
- state/upload (6): the createUploadAtom reducer driven through a real jotai
store — idle→loading→progress(gated)→success/error, file ref preserved.
No bugs found.

Prevention work found a real bug: getSettings() runs at module load, and its
catch block called localStorage.removeItem() — but we often reach that catch
*because* localStorage access threw (blocked storage / private mode / sandboxed
context). The removeItem then re-threw, producing an uncaught error that crashed
the whole app at startup. Guarded the cleanup in its own try/catch.
New state/settings suite (6) covers the legacy-boolean callNoiseSuppression
migration, denoise-model/ringtone-id coercion of unknown values, default merge,
malformed JSON, and the blocked-storage regression.
Full suite now 129 tests, all passing.

Adds a customAccentColor setting + a HexColorPickerPopOut in Settings →
Appearance. When set (and Lotus Terminal/TDS is OFF), it derives a full folds
Primary palette (Main/hover/active/line, contrasting OnMain, alpha-tiered
Container set, OnContainer) from the chosen color and overrides the folds
Primary CSS variables on document.body — resolving each var name from the
imported folds color.Primary.* token strings (e.g. "var(--oq6d07f)"), the
same body-level injection pattern used for mentionHighlightColor. The theme
class is on document.body, so an inline override on body wins over it.
Reverts to theme defaults when unset or when Lotus Terminal is enabled (TDS
keeps its fixed palette); the picker is disabled with a note in TDS mode.

- Add three msgtype toggle chips (Images/Files/Video) to the search filter
bar, mirroring the existing "Has link" chip. The Matrix search API can't
filter by msgtype server-side, so results are post-filtered client-side
(union match on event.content.msgtype, dropping now-empty groups); the
server request is unchanged. Visible count may be lower than the server
total — inherent to client-side filtering.
- Recent searches: last 10 distinct terms persisted via a new
state/recentSearches.ts (atomWithStorage, error-safe, mirrors
scheduledMessages). Shown as clickable chips when the search input is
focused + empty, with a Clear affordance; clicking re-runs the search.

Add sticky?: boolean to ToastNotif — sticky toasts skip the 4s auto-dismiss
timer entirely, staying until the user clicks or manually dismisses. Sticky
toasts also use cyan accent/glow (vs orange for messages) and allow the body
to wrap rather than truncate, so longer action-oriented copy is fully readable.
Update the Tauri update toast to: sticky: true, ⬆ prefix on the title,
"Click to install and restart" as explicit call to action.
Fixes: auto-dismiss before user noticed it, no visual distinction from
a regular message notification.

Adds a ringtoneId setting (classic | chime | soft | retro | none) so the
incoming-call ring is no longer hardcoded to call.ogg. The three synth
styles are generated in-browser via a new utils/ringtones.ts module
(mirroring the existing callSounds.ts WebAudio pattern), so no new binary
assets are bundled; 'classic' keeps the existing call.ogg clip and 'none'
is a silent, visual-only incoming-call UI.
- ringtones.ts: startRingtone() loops until stopped; previewRingtone()
plays a single non-looping preview and auto-cancels the prior preview.
- IncomingCall: ring driven by the setting; <audio> element removed.
- Settings > Calls: Ringtone selector with on-select preview, beside the
existing Ringtone Volume slider.
- settings.ts: persisted value whitelisted back to a known id.

The real reason the gallery didn't look or function like the Members drawer
or Saved Messages: it was a position:fixed overlay floating over the timeline,
mounted from RoomViewHeader. Now it docks into the room layout row exactly like
MembersDrawer.
- new mediaGalleryAtom (mirrors bookmarksPanelAtom) holds the open state
- RoomViewHeader toggles the atom instead of local useState and no longer
renders the panel
- Room.tsx renders <MediaGallery> as a flex sibling of the timeline with a
vertical Line separator on desktop and key={room.roomId} to reset per room
- MediaGallery.css: static width on desktop, position:fixed inset:0 full-screen
only on mobile (identical strategy to MembersDrawer.css); root Box shrink="No"
The panel now shares the row with the timeline instead of overlapping it.

Adds 'Ringtone Volume' slider (0–100, default 70%) to Settings → Calls.
The IncomingCall audio element reads the setting and applies it as
audioElement.volume before playing, replacing the implicit browser
default of 1.0.

TauriUpdateFeature component in ClientNonUIFeatures checks for updates
on mount and every 12h (skips if checked within the window). On update
available, fires a Lotus toast: "Lotus Chat vX.Y.Z is ready to install."
Clicking the toast calls install(). No-op on web (isTauri guard).
Also adds optional onClick to ToastNotif type and wires it in
LotusToastContainer so custom click handlers can skip hash navigation.

Integrate DeepFilterNet 3 (deepfilternet3-noise-filter@1.2.1) as a new
client-side denoise model id 'deepfilternet', mirroring the DTLN pattern.
The npm package ships only an ESM whose AudioWorklet processor + wasm-bindgen
glue are inlined as a string (loaded via a Blob URL — no CDN for the worklet).
Its only runtime fetches are a single-threaded df_bg.wasm and an ONNX model
tarball, which previously loaded from an external CDN. We now VENDOR both
(build/denoise-vendor/deepfilternet/v2/...) and self-host them under
denoise/deepfilternet/, overriding the package's cdnUrl so nothing hits the
upstream CDN — keeping it self-hosted / Tauri-CSP safe.
The wasm is single-threaded (no SharedArrayBuffer / atomics / imported shared
memory), so it needs no COOP/COEP cross-origin isolation and runs fine in EC's
non-isolated iframe. Runs at 48 kHz fullband. Any init/runtime failure falls
back to the raw mic, like the other models.
- vite.config.js: copy ESM + vendored wasm/model into the EC denoise dir with a
required-asset guard that aborts the build if any entry is missing.
- build/lotus-denoise.js: 'deepfilternet' branch — dynamic-import the ESM, build
a DeepFilterNet3Core pointed at the self-hosted base, await init, return the
worklet node; 48 kHz; raw-mic fail-safe preserved.
- denoisePipeline.ts: 'deepfilternet' branch for the in-app tester + sampleRate.
- settings.ts: add 'deepfilternet' to DenoiseModelId + getSettings whitelist.
- lotusDenoiseUtils.ts: add the comparison-chart row.
- General.tsx: add the "DeepFilterNet 3 (beta)" dropdown option.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The prior DTLN attempt (89a2321d) broke the build (missing dep, wrong
`cinny/` asset paths) and typecheck (`'dtln'` not in DenoiseModelId), and was
wired against an API the package doesn't expose. @workadventure/noise-
suppression is not a flat AudioWorklet — it's a self-contained ES module whose
processor name is `workadventure-noise-suppression` and which resolves its own
LiteRT WASM + TFLite models via import.meta.url. Driving it by hand-rolled
addModule + processorOptions cannot work.
- Re-add @workadventure/noise-suppression@0.0.4 (package.json + lockfile).
- vite: copy the package's whole dist/ tree intact to
denoise/workadventure/ (preserving assets/ + vendor/litert) so import.meta
resolution works at runtime; fail the build if the entry module is missing.
- shim: for the DTLN model, dynamic-import denoise/workadventure/audio-worklet
.js and use createNoiseSuppressionAudioWorklet(ctx, { bypassUntilReady })
to build the node; RNNoise/Speex keep their direct flat-worklet path. Async
init errors are logged + reported and fall back to the raw mic.
- Restore 'dtln' in DenoiseModelId (+ settings coercion), the model chart, and
the settings dropdown, labelled "(beta)".
DTLN builds and is fully self-hosted, but its in-call audio is UNVERIFIED in
this environment — needs a real-call test. DeepFilterNet stays excluded (CDN
asset loading, incompatible with self-hosting / Tauri CSP).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Audit/repair of the multi-model denoise work so it actually builds and only
exposes working, self-hosted models.
- Complete the DTLN/DFN3 revert: uninstall @workadventure/noise-suppression
and deepfilternet3-noise-filter (package.json + lockfile), drop the unused
DTLN asset-copy block from vite.config.js (was shipping ~2MB of unused
tflite/wasm), and narrow DenoiseModelId to the bundled models (rnnoise,
speex). Coerce any retired persisted model value back to the default.
- Fix General.tsx CI typecheck failures introduced by the denoise UI: restore
three imports the rewrite deleted (useDateFormatItems, SequenceCardStyle,
useTauriUpdater), add the missing denoise/sound imports, and correct
hallucinated Folds props (Text has no variant/bold; Box uses
alignItems/justifyContent). tsc now passes with 0 errors.
- Harden the vite denoise plugin: required RNNoise/Speex/gate assets and the
shim now fail the build loudly if missing (instead of a silent warn that
shipped a broken ML feature), and the index.html shim injection is verified.
- CI: move the cinny-desktop submodule bump into ci.yml as a `trigger-desktop`
job gated on `needs: build`, and delete the standalone trigger-desktop.yml.
A failing push no longer kicks off the slow Tauri builds in parallel.

Implement a flexible, multi-model noise suppression pipeline for Element Call/LiveKit integration:
- ML Engines: Added support for RNNoise, Speex, DTLN, and DeepFilterNet 3 models.
- Pipeline Architecture: Implemented modular audio processing in lotus-denoise.js, supporting 'Series Suppression' (running browser-native NSNet2 before ML) and a hardware-style Noise Gate.
- UI & UX Enhancements:
- Settings UI: Added model comparison chart with CPU/Quality metadata.
- Tuning: Added Live Microphone Meter for calibrating Noise Gate thresholds.
- Reporting: Added LotusToast system to alert users when ML suppression fails or falls back to raw input.
- Robustness & Quality:
- Capture Fidelity: Removed forced 48kHz capture constraints to allow native-rate capture (solving static issues with high-end audio interfaces).
- Performance: Added WASM SIMD detection with transparent fallback.
- Capability Detection: Added browser feature detection to disable unsupported ML modes.
- Build Integration: Updated Vite config to self-host all model WASM/tflite assets in /denoise/ directory.
Replace the boolean call noise-suppression setting with a 3-way control
(Off / Browser-native / ML beta) in Settings -> General -> Calls.
- Off: noiseSuppression=false to Element Call
- Browser-native: EC's built-in WebRTC suppressor (prior default)
- ML (beta): on-device RNNoise (@sapphi-red/web-noise-suppressor)
Element Call captures the mic inside its iframe and publishes to LiveKit,
so the host can't reach that track; LiveKit's Krisp filter is Cloud-only
(we self-host the SFU) and EC's own RNNoise PR #3892 is unmerged. The ML
tier instead injects a same-origin pre-init shim into the vendored EC
index.html (build/lotus-denoise.js, wired by the lotusDenoise vite plugin)
that patches getUserMedia and routes the captured mic through an RNNoise
AudioWorklet before LiveKit sees it -- the same post-capture pipeline as
#3892, with no EC fork/AGPL/rebase burden. Falls back to the raw mic if
setup fails; keeps echoCancellation/AGC on the raw capture.
- settings.ts: callNoiseSuppression -> 'off'|'browser'|'ml' + legacy
boolean migration (true->browser, false->off)
- CallEmbed/useCallEmbed: tier maps to noiseSuppression param and appends
lotusDenoise=ml (native suppressor off in ML mode)
- vite.config.js: copy RNNoise worklet/wasm + shim into the EC bundle and
inject the shim <script> before EC's module entry
- docs: LOTUS_FEATURES.md, LOTUS_TODO.md (P5-30 done)
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- UserHero: move AvatarDecoration inside AvatarPresence so the decoration
inline-flex container sizes to the avatar only, not the presence badge
- SidebarNav: add will-change: background-position, background-size on
document.body for animated backgrounds, promoting them to a compositor
layer so overlaid text/UI doesn't repaint on every animation frame
- scheduledMessages: back the atom with atomWithStorage so the scheduled
message tray survives page refreshes via localStorage

Adds 11 CSS-only seasonal overlays (Halloween, Christmas, New Year, Autumn,
April Fool's, Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Earth Day,
Deep Space, Retro Arcade) with date-based auto-detection and a manual override
dropdown in Settings → Appearance → Seasonal Theme. All themes respect
prefers-reduced-motion. SeasonalEffect mounts at z-index 9997 in App.tsx.
Also rewrites all 5 animated chat background keyframes for smoother, more
organic motion: Digital Rain gains a phosphor glow flicker; Star Drift now
loops each layer by exactly its own tile size (no more seam); Grid Pulse adds
an independent brightness oscillation at a prime period; Aurora Flow drives
all four gradient layers through distinct paths; Fireflies adds glow-pulse and
opacity-blink animations at prime periods for unsynchronised bioluminescence.

P5-10 Voice Channel User Limit:
- New StateEvent.LotusVoiceLimit (io.lotus.voice_limit) with { max_users }
- RoomVoiceLimit admin control in Room Settings > General > Voice
(power-level gated via permissions.stateEvent)
- CallPrescreen reads the limit reactively and disables Join with a
'Channel Full (N/N)' message at capacity; existing members can rejoin
P5-16 Custom Join/Leave Sound Effects:
- useCallJoinLeaveSounds hook wired into CallUtils; detects participant
join/leave via MatrixRTCSession membership changes (sender|deviceId),
filters out self, only fires while joined
- Sounds synthesized in-browser with Web Audio (callSounds.ts) - no
assets bundled; styles Off/Chime/Soft/Retro
- 'Join & Leave Sounds' selector in Settings > Calls (previews on change)
Docs: LOTUS_FEATURES.md, README.md, LOTUS_TODO.md (P5-10/P5-16 marked done)

P4-3 — Knock-to-join Notifications for Admins:
- usePendingKnocks() hook reactively tracks knocking members via
RoomMemberEvent.Membership; returns empty array if user lacks invite power
- Members icon in RoomViewHeader shows a Warning badge with the knock count
when there are pending requests; badge updates in real time without
needing to open the drawer; aria-label updated to describe pending count
P5-11 — AFK Auto-Mute in Voice:
- useAfkAutoMute() hook opens a monitoring-only getUserMedia stream,
connects it to an AnalyserNode, and polls RMS every 500ms
- If mic is on and RMS stays below threshold for the configured timeout,
calls callEmbed.control.setMicrophone(false) and shows an in-app toast
- Hook is called inside CallControls so monitoring is only active during calls
- Settings: afkAutoMute toggle + afkTimeoutMinutes select (1/5/10/20/30 min,
default 10) added to Settings → Calls
Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- P5-21: Custom @mention highlight color picker in Settings → Appearance.
CSS vars with luminance-computed text color; resets cleanly to theme default.
- P5-22: Font selector (System, Inter, JetBrains Mono, Fira Code) in
Settings → Appearance. Fira Code added to Google Fonts preload.
- P5-27: Gaming/Work/Sleep preset buttons at top of Settings → Notifications.
Each atomically applies a group of notification settings.
- AppearanceEffects component in App.tsx applies CSS vars on settings change.
- LOTUS_BUGS.md: mark presence + manifest icon bugs as resolved.
- LOTUS_TODO.md: mark P3-6, P5-21, P5-22, P5-27 as [x].
- LOTUS_FEATURES.md: document all four completed features.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Each button (Format, Emoji, Sticker, GIF, Location, Poll, Voice,
Schedule) can be individually hidden in Settings → Editor.
All default to on, stored in composerToolbarButtons object.
getSettings deep-merges the nested object so new buttons default
to true for existing users with saved settings.

5 new CSS-only animated backgrounds in the chat background picker:
- Digital Rain: two-layer vertical stripe scroll with parallax (wide
stripes at 8s, narrow at 4s via single keyframe with split positions)
- Star Drift: three-layer radial-gradient star field drifting diagonally
- Grid Pulse: neon grid lines that expand/contract (backgroundSize keyframe)
- Aurora Flow: large radial gradient bands sweeping across 200% canvas
- Fireflies: three layers of glowing dots drifting across the viewport
All use vanilla-extract keyframes (GPU-composited transforms/positions,
no canvas, no JS timers). prefers-reduced-motion is respected in
getChatBg() by stripping the animation property at call time. A "Pause
Background Animations" toggle in Settings → Appearance provides an
in-app override for the same purpose.
BG labels de-duplicated ("Digital Rain", "Star Drift", "Aurora Flow")
to avoid the duplicate "Stars" and "Aurora" entries that had appeared.
LIGHT anim-fireflies background corrected from near-black #0a0a10 to
warm white #fffdf0. Four unused keyframe exports removed from
Animations.css.ts.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Settings → Appearance: "Glassmorphism Sidebar" toggle (off by default).
When enabled, applies backdrop-filter: blur(12px) and a semi-transparent
background to the left sidebar so chat background patterns show through.
SidebarGlass vanilla-extract class in Sidebar.css.ts; wired in
SidebarNav.tsx via classNames conditional.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
P5-17: MessageQuickReactions moved from 3-dots menu to hover toolbar;
shows 5 recent emoji directly on hover. Clicking a quick-reaction also
closes any open emoji picker (setEmojiBoardAnchor). Line separator
removed from component.
P5-7: LotusToastContainer slides in from bottom-right when window is
focused — replaces OS notification for in-focus events. Correct room
path (DM vs home) derived from mDirectAtom. Invite toast routes to
inbox. 4s auto-dismiss. Full TDS styling via CSS custom properties.
P5-8: Confirmed already implemented upstream (MentionHighlightPulse,
0.6s scale+glow, one-shot, prefers-reduced-motion). Marked complete.
Code-review fixes: toast navigation used nonexistent /room/ route;
emoji picker stayed open after toolbar quick-reaction.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
P3-1: Message Bookmarks — right-click any message to bookmark; saved to
io.lotus.bookmarks account data (max 500, syncs across devices); star
icon in sidebar opens BookmarksPanel with filter, Jump-to-message, and
remove buttons; reactive to AccountData events
P3-2: Message Scheduling (MSC4140) — clock button next to send opens
ScheduleMessageModal with datetime-local picker; validates ≥1 min future;
calls PUT org.matrix.msc4140 delayed event API; collapsible
ScheduledMessagesTray above composer lists pending messages with cancel;
local Jotai atom tracks scheduled messages per room
P3-3: File Upload Compression — opt-in checkbox per JPEG/PNG file ≥200KB
in upload preview; canvas API compresses at 0.82 quality; shows before/
after size estimate; compressed blob used in upload when checked
P3-7: Room Insights — new Insights tab in room settings; top 5 active
members (bar chart), top 5 reactions (chips), media breakdown (4 tiles),
24-hour activity heatmap (CSS bar chart); all from local cache only with
disclaimer banner; never the first tab shown
Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
P2-8: Pronouns (m.pronouns) and Timezone (m.tz) fields in Settings →
Account → Profile; saved via MSC4133 PUT /profile/{userId}/{field};
useExtendedProfile hook fetches both in parallel; UserHero displays
pronouns below display name and timezone string below username
P2-11: Full push rule editor in Settings → Notifications below keyword
rules; covers override/room/sender/underride rule kinds; enable/disable
toggle per rule, human-readable labels for built-in rules, delete button
for custom rules, add-rule form for room and sender rules
P2-12: Server ACL viewer/editor in room settings (Server ACL tab);
reads m.room.server_acl state event; allow/deny server lists with
wildcard validation; allow IP literals toggle; power-level gated
(edit requires sufficient PL, otherwise read-only view)

The existing SearchModalRenderer (Ctrl+K) is already a polished room/DM
switcher with avatars, unread badges, fuzzy search, and keyboard nav.

Adds a manual presence picker to the sidebar user avatar. Clicking the
avatar opens a popout menu with Online, Idle, Do Not Disturb, Invisible,
and Auto (activity-based) options. The selected status is shown as a
colored badge on the avatar and stored in settings (survives reloads).
usePresenceUpdater now short-circuits for manual states and only runs
the full activity-tracking logic in Auto mode.
