The biggest advantage Remote Control, the Desktop app and Agent View have over tmux: you see exactly what Claude wants to run and answer it in one tap.

  • A PermissionRequest/Notification hook (permission_prompt, idle_prompt, elicitation_dialog) records tool_name and tool_input. Today's state hook only keeps the message.
  • The sidebar card shows the command and target host. Approve/Deny sends the matching keys to that pane (tmux send-keys), or uses a DevDesk channel with permission relay.
  • Speculative: mapping buttons to the right keystrokes for each prompt type.
