Changes (NewYear.tsx, NewYear.css.ts only)

  • Fireworks: spark bursts (14 rays with ember tips) that pop, drift down and fade within about a second. They replace the large saturated rings that sat on message text.
  • Placement: bursts go off at the very top edge or the side edges, away from the reading column. They're 90–150 px, down from 130–240 px.
  • Reduced motion: two faint still bursts in the top corners, instead of a ring frozen over the timeline.
  • Cleanup: the unused core-flash and inner-ring layers are gone. Each burst is now one element, down from three.

Checks

  • tsc and eslint are clean.
  • Renders at 1440×900 and Pixel 7, light and dark, reduced motion, and frames at 5, 7, 10, 12 and 15 s.
  • Only transform and opacity are animated.

- Bursts go off at the very top edge or along the side edges, away from the
  reading column, and are smaller (90-150px, was 130-240px).
- Reduced motion: two faint still bursts peek in from the top corners instead
  of a full ring frozen over the timeline.
