`plain()` (the status banner's Details text) ran `.replace(/[*_\`#>]/g, '')`, which deleted those characters **everywhere**:

- "calls -> fixed" → "calls - fixed", "5 * 3" → "5 3"
- `<b>guide</b>` → "<bguide</b"
