Now: these grids are always fully open, so Appearance alone is about 2.5 screens:

  • Chat background: 27 swatches;
  • Seasonal theme: 13 cards;
  • Avatar decoration (on Account): a large categorised grid.

Change: show the current choice as one row with a small preview, e.g. Chat background: Circuit [Change], which opens the grid in place. It closes after a choice, and the current choice stays highlighted. The same pattern applies to seasonal themes and decorations.

Done when: each grid is closed by default, keyboard-accessible, and picking works exactly as before.
